Grove No. 01 / planting project
A marker for you.
A planting place for the grove.
The Founding Grove Marker turns a piece of Tusky hardwood into practical support for a mixed planting of chestnut, oak, walnut, hickory, maple, and other site-appropriate trees.
GROVEMarker 001 / 100
Farm-milled hardwood / numbered in sequence
The offer
Not a donation. A real product with a stated purpose.
The marker stays with you.
The funding works in the field.
You receive
A small, numbered hardwood display marker made from suitable material coming through the Tusky shop, plus a season-end digital field note describing what was planted.
The grove receives
Pooled support for planting stock, guards or cages, stakes, site preparation, weed control, early care, documentation, and a replacement reserve.
Tusky chooses
The final species mix and planting locations according to site conditions, planting design, stock availability, and the needs of the larger farm plan.
Why not put a plaque at every tree?
A working grove,
not a sponsor wall.
Individual field plaques create clutter, maintenance, privacy, and one-tree-one-person promises that can become misleading when seedlings are replaced or the planting plan changes.
The portable marker creates a tangible connection without pretending that the seedling itself costs $100 or promising permanent ownership of a particular tree.
Possible planting mix
Red + white oak
Black walnut
Shagbark hickory
Sugar + red maple
Other site-fit species
Species shown are planning possibilities, not guaranteed inventory. Final selections depend on site assessment, source availability, pollination needs, deer pressure, and the approved planting plan.
